Mother's Day. I am fortunate to have two of them. A biological Mother and a Step-Mother. I am also fortunate they are both still with us. As we live 3 and 4 time zones away, I don't get to see them often.
For me, Mother's Day is a couple of heart felt cards in the mail and chats on the phone. For whatever reason, this year I am finding Mother's Day difficult. Obviously, Mother's Day is about and to honour Mother's and really isn't about me. Yet, this year seems rough. Perhaps as I age, I have more appreciation of Mother's? I don't really know.
As I ponder Mother's Day, I wonder, what do Mother's actually like or even want? Is it a nice brunch? Flowers? Time with family? Maybe even some pampering and alone time! So I ask this of all you Mother's, what is it you like about Mother's Day? Just food for thought....Oh ya. And HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!
